The ill chill pill is a music blog based out of Melbourne, Australia, that strives to provide its enlightened listeners with an eclectic, diverse range of quality music to relax to.
Here’s a bit of a context to how it all started:
“In 2005 I made my first ill chill pill mix (when CD burners were really taking off). I spent a long time compiling music that I enjoyed only to discover that others enjoyed the mixes just as much as me. I started sourcing ‘chilled’ music that could be enjoyed by people of all ages, at any time of day, no matter what their mood was.
Now I continue looking for great music to share. When I listen, I listen for music with replay value, that can stand the test of time. Music is most powerful when you can relate to it. So by listening to the music we feature, I hope you enjoy it and it helps to lift your mood, brighten your day, comfort you, inspire you, clear your thoughts and improve your outlook.” - Paul (founder)
The basic concept of the blog is simple. We find and share great music with likeminded people with broad musical tastes. We want to help spread the word about new and/or underrated artists and also give our listeners quality music in the process. It’s a win-win situation.
Music politics isn’t our focus. We do not badmouth artists or criticise their work because we genuinely love the music we feature and we make no apologies for praising them in their accomplishments.
Now to the legal stuff…
