Pinback - True North

Stumbling across this song was sheer fluke.

I like to check out if bands I like are working on new material so I did a google on Pinback. Turns out that they released a new limited edition 2 track EP a day and a half ago on November 25th. The song is typical Pinback brilliance except that strings make a feature, adding a new element to the music.

Pinback make the kind of music that for one reason or another, makes me think of the ocean. Clearly this picture shows I’m not alone in my opinion.
